WOMEN AND THE
GLASS CEILING

If women in business have the goal to go upwards (with or without a crash helmet) in their careers that means they only know of one direction in their flight pattern....no wonder they reach a glass ceiling in their careers perhaps it should be reinforced concrete.

People talk of a glass ceiling especially women when they find they can't go further in their career path. The ceiling of some houses do have a chimney so they should focus on one part of their goal by narrowing the field instead of trying to break down the whole ceiling perhaps they might achieve their ambition.

Working out for themselves, individually, the reasons which might have nothing to do with their achievements thus so far or the fact they are women but could it be something else such as the wrong experience or the projects which didn't raise their profile or even risk-taking endeavours.

Those women create unnecessary barriers by coining the term "glass ceiling".   It was never used by men. When men felt frustrated in their careers they got up and did something about it or used a different tactic to move around to gather high profile achievements.

So what makes women think they are experiencing anything different that another person hasn't gone or been through themselves but at another level because of qualifications, experience or profile?

Women have themselves to blame for creating this in the business environment because they think they are owed their token positions instead of by merit.  Yet the system of achievement doesn't make it possible to rank by abilities because it seems when discussing women's capabilities and their career's it means one section of women in society at a time.  So far anyway.

If after a year nothing has changed don't wait to move house if the attic is becoming full of cobwebs.

Women who are ambitious still have to learn to use this and their skills to their advantage.

A woman who commands persona (charisma) is a business woman who is good at making her deals attractive to others who happen to see her as a woman too.
