THE SUPERMAN COMPLEX
The Superman Complex is those people who are extreme and demanding of themselves as managers or even employees. Sometimes this leads from the management style of an autocrat which in some careers is vital ie. crisis management and the military but not when it can lead to bully tactics and contrivance methods in the workplace.
However, its not society that places expectations on those who see themselves as having superman complex - over-achiever's do it all by themselves. For them its a matter that something is preferable to nothing in their lives.
"The one thing you assert and God doesn't alter, that unverifiable something that exists. Nonetheless in Futility and Nothingness."(1)
I having been asked, like others, "What do you want to be when you grow up" and trust an over-achiever to list them all. When I answered, I would say "Nothing yet". In my view it was the 'yet' that counted, for I still believe out of nothing comes something".
But
those who are high-achiever's who don't pace their lives its the reverse; something can
become nothing if they don't maintain and control what they have. So to those who say
their have a superman complex - it gives them something to do.
Like people, complexity (the state of) character but not complex (made up of) one's approach to life's offerings for these can change. People confuse the two tendencies to make a huge one all for themselves; they once called the ego, I.
Its the over-achievers, the Super's, who start from something in every aspect of what they do and they hang onto time as a body shield. It's their choice to make this journey through time. I do not. For I believe that something's can wither but how can nothing as it is nothing?
Something is the external factors. nothing is the space to breath. And the gap is time...but it's nice to exist and to be in all three from time to time.
