SUCCESS
AND FAILURE IN BUSINESS
Success, I think has always been self-defining. It's a word
that gives you a chance to do your own Appraisal and evaluate your Works in life. Its a
comma rather than a full-stop. It has not been taught well enough (...esp. when your
school report stated "needs to try harder"...)
I think its okay to apply the brakes once in a
while and take time-out to conduct a Personal Review but this is seen as an admission of
failure by others. I disagree - as it's better volunteered and planned for rather than an
enforced career break or wait for some kind of retirement.
Success - used in a positive way can re-vitalize a person. It's the moment your hand
reaches to turn a page on the events of your life.
Failure should never been seen as being totally
insolvent. Like anything in life there is the "phoenix phenomena" which is
a better way to view this part of any endeavour as the process of generating new chapters
in your life, career or company. This is the actual turning of the page, you move on
to complete the story.
