SALES PROFESSIONALS

Sign on the dotted line.

In terms of a sales professional some consumers view salepeople as being inclined as a kind of bird or a vulture perhaps.

To my understanding too much emphasis is placed on whether something is positive or negative in terms of sales techniques. The negative connotations mentioned all the time by some people of how they view it reveals starkly the state of their own minds.

The wording such as "manipulate" in regards to sales can be to a salesperson advantage with a client ie. think of how a child uses it to get his parents to comply with his needs, they are natural salespeople and they can adapt to the situation to get their way if they didn't they wouldn't survive...same with any other species that I can think of so far.

However, in regards to sales people if it goes on far too long can be interpreted as whining, desperate or pushy.

A natural sales person has the part of his character developed to manipulate to get results and meet targets which is in balance and stronger than others but it would depend on how he uses it also for his benefit as well as the company.

Of course salespeople manipulate if not they wouldn't be a "Sales" person would they now and wouldn't reach their sales targets...sometimes the obvious is clear.
