NARCISSISTIC BOSS

The working lives of the lonely and arrogant do seem to have narcissistic tendencies regarding executives.

There is an element of "he took all the decisions, he fired people or doubled their salaries on a whim". It appears he lost touch with his one-time corporate allies and ignored any advice that didn't suit him.

Their reactions is to say "If you want a friend, get aTop Dog dog, I've got two dogs". "Absolutely sir!!" They chorused, "So why", he growled, "did you oppose it".

HEEL!!

Company chiefs and employer's may say they welcome criticism, but few really do, and it takes a brave subordinate to offer any honest communication is rare.

Chief executives and bosses are often seduced by the trappings of the job. They no longer manage their diaries, or walk to the coffee machine, or drive themselves anywhere. If another peer is just down the hall they'll email him instead.

The problem is that those with tyrannical tendencies are the least likely to seek out relationships with others. They consider themselves to be moi-meme maitre du monde.

SIT!!!

When their time comes, it is likely to be dramatic because they have few friends left to save them. Often a lot of the dictatorial types, when they crash, they crash seriously. People are not prepared to pull out the stops for them.

Tryants are also less likely to understand why they lost their jobs. They never admit they got anything wrong. Its always someone else's fault, usually the analysts.

Most professors of psychology knows that: "a narcissistic boss think's he knows everything, tyrannical chief executives are notoriously weak on details."

DOWN BOY!!
