BUSINESS GURUS

Pay AttentionThe business gurus I've read about so far seem to have scientific or engineering backgrounds and also that management methods is heavily influenced by this. I am a little bemused at where the art side of management comes into play.

Does this mean business gurus do the method-thinking and the employers inform managers how to practice the managing part of the process? So where and what does that leave managers to do?  Managers had better be a blade of grass than a tree.

What does a "visionary" do?  I believe its very practical and not a mystical experience. People think its only a one-shot wonder. It's because people have doubts about how to use this part of themselves.

A visionary is someone that does not only dream nor have foresight moreless hindsight. Its an energy that is constantly flowing. The age of what they once called the "Enlightenment Age" has not disappeared - another myth. It is still here. People aren't using their full potential that's all.

The dictionary definition of the term is wrong. It gives the impression only a few are born with vision and its unobtainable. This again is a myth.

Sometimes, in day-to-day encounters with people, its unbelievable what gifts and talents they have but aren't being used or undervalued its not a question of who's first or last - there is more than one "talent" in a person (from someone who reads the clouds to the person who studies archaeography).

The science of management is the vision. It's the bringing together an idea from different sources to form again in another way. When looking back in hindsight and you make a connection one can see this and its varied parts and wholes. And business represents this very well with or without a business guru.
