BOOK REVIEW
The book is in regards to the most successful women in Business when published in the 1980's and the list of women is taken from the USA and Britain. However, its a book which a person can still draw from for insight (as there are some books that seem never to date in terms of insightfulness). I am also sure the list of successful women in business has increased since then. It would be nice to see a second edition reflecting the 1990s business women. Business

Its a book full of resourceful insights even if a person works for a company they can still consider themselves a soloist. "Like a great Ming vase, prized all the more for the cracks that run through it. Each seam where a break has started to occur will form a scar. The scars actually make for a vase with more strength. That's how you'll be: stronger with each break.." (page 55) Business and life teaches you this philosophy and experience. It isn't a weakness to have scars, for they heal.
This book is an upfront perspective of media women talking about their careers. The contents is as good as it promises to be, a real eye-opener about the media industry in general and how they view female executives, could be said how they look at female employees too: "They don't think good business brain, they think 38D cup". I like what Sue Douglas says "When you win, nothing hurts". Due to the fact I think by that time you've gone numb caused by the ridicule for being damn good that anything said loses its meaning to hurt. Executive Tart & Other Myths
