VOLUNTEER WORK
Also when working at the telecommunication company, I took part in fund-raising, this was for the LEPRA foundation. It was a sponsored swimming "Its a Knock Out" tournament. Our team came third in the event and raised over £1,500 for the charity in sponsorship. When at Sunday School I participated in a sponsored jogging to fund raise for the homeless. Assisted elderly neighbours in doing their shopping, filling out welfare benefit forms on their behalf and generally keeping an eye on them to make sure they were fine. At a local primary school, I volunteered to help take a class on a school trip to the British Museum for the day. My role was to assist a group of them with their workbook assignment on the Egyptian exhibition...what fun I had with five children wanting to sit on my lap and lots of hugs because they were tired at the end of the trip and didn't want nothing accept to be home, their parents must have been pleased that day!!
