I have known Mavarine since she was twelve. She works well and is pleasant, reliable and helpful. She has plenty of common sense and uses it. (School Head of Year Teacher)

Mavarine is a likeable person with a pleasant personality who is very capable, sensible and mature for someone of her age. She takes her work at school very seriously and enjoys studying (especially English) and is often involved in fruitful classroom discussion.

Mavarine is respected by others in her peer group and gets on well with other people in general. She has been an integral member of the tutor group. Mavarine has the ability to succeed in the future. She has always been a polite, well-mannered and thoughtful member and is expressive and imaginative. I wish her every success. (MCE James, Tutor Group/Maths Teacher)

When I first signed up as a member, I was [in part] lured by Mavarine's posts. She has a unique style and personality. I too, have had some back room communication with her, as we have posted privately. I have enjoyed this, but prefer to have her as a member of our community. She has so much to offer.

If it would help, she can have my [window] office. I'll move down the hall, as I'd like to see her return as if she never left. Mavarine, your new business cards are, see you soon. (BH from Business Forum)

Dear Mavarine,

I have just had the opportunity to peruse your website and to read a few of the articles. You certainly have a creative way with words, and recollection of experiences.

My favorite lines come from the history class where you responded to a teacher in terms of when it became positive, you would listen, but until then you would be found in the library.

My other favorite line from the same essay says in reference to North American history "The land had always been there so it wasn't "discovered" as it hadn't been lost in the first instance."

How intuitive and at such early age. I also adore your polished writing, which seem to be a bit in contrast to some of the postings here (or there) that I had seen from you in the past.

It is actually an inspiration to read someone else who has a similar intelligence, intuitiveness, creativity, and sense of humor. I also am amazed at how quickly your site downloads from page to page -- well done. I will book mark it and glean much from it for future thought. (HK from Business Forum)

Hello Mavarine,

Checked out your Business View site. Bookmarked the site for off-line viewing of articles, they are of interest to me. Thanks. (MM from Business Forum)

In the case of Mavarine, the absolute differences in opinions is what kept me coming here daily to read. I found most conversations interesting, informative and a way to balance myself against the way others thought and did things. Enjoyed the first few pages, and will get to it more as I get settled.  ("S" from Business Forum)

Mavarine,

I like to talk to people with backbone! And I am "proud" that I "smelled" that you have it!

They are an excellent, revealing, first hand examples of the type of political and personal in-fighting that goes on in any large organization.

One was a lengthy discussion on advertising with Mavarine, the other was a bit of theater of the absurd, also with Mavarine, under the topic of "let's argue."* I thought the first was somewhat informative, and the second was about as much fun as you can have online. I mean, I thought it was hysterical. It gave me more laughs than any of the joke threads.

And, far from any sore spot, I think M is one of the most interesting people here. I look forward to reading her next post. (KJY from Business Forum)

* conducted a constructive arguement for generating objectivity and ideas.

It is refreshing to hear that Mavarine has a sense of humor. ("C" from Business Forum)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You have caused me to pause and reflect on how special my life with my wife and family and my friends are. You have a gift. I've been reading your other reflections too. Don't ever stop being a part of others. You are very special. (SC from Business Forum)
